Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is set to hit stores in 2020, pitting it against Sony’s PS5. The vague timetable for the 2020 Christmas holidays gives Microsoft some leeway as it plans to launch the Xbox X series as early as November. Microsoft did not give a release date for the console’s next games but said it was “very close” to a 2019 release. Microsoft’s Xbox chief executive Phil Spencer said in an interview with CNBC, the Xbox Series X, and its games were still planned for the end of this year, but the production of the games was somewhat unknown.
Microsoft has so far only officially committed to launching the new Xbox console in the first quarter of 2017. Halo Infinite delayed would be a big loss for the Xbox X series as Microsoft launches it TheXbox Series Z. Microsoft had planned to launch Halo infinite on XboxSeries X but has now “officially committed” to bringing it to market in late 2017 or early 2018 for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and early 2019 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
For what it’s worth, Microsoft has said that it has a holiday 2020 release date for the game, but it has never said whether this is a full release or a game beta test. Microsoft will introduce the Xbox Series X games this week at the E3 2017 gaming conference in Las Vegas, as well as its new Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.

Halo Infinite does not yet have an official release date, but it has been announced as the launch title for the Xbox Series X, meaning it will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 next year. That said, it has received some delays and seems to be on track for an event that didn’t happen with Halo: The next generation of Xbox consoles will take this next chapter in the “Halo” series to new levels.
